 The second video from the keepers diary team follows
Geoff Garrod a fellow gamekeeper and tkeen pigeon shooter. Geoff has been shooting pigeons for many years both in his duties as a gamekeeper and as a hobby.
The video is filmed over 5 days throughout the year
on rape crops at various stages. Geoff prefers to use
traditional methods ie good hide building, watching
the flight lines, correct use of decoy patterns etc.
Whilst not intended as an instructional video it provides a real insight into this traditional pastime. Some of the many topics covered include; hide building, flight lines, decoy patterns and cooking pigeon.
